Kornik Castle in Poland
Kórnik is a small town in Greater Poland Voivodeship, located about 20 km south-east from Poznań. The main tourist attraction here is a neo-Gothic castle surrounded by a picturesque park. The castle is situated in the lowland near Lake Kórnickie and is surrounded by a still irrigated moat. History The original stronghold was built here in the first half of the 14th century on the initiative of the members of the powerful Górków family.
